The Bottom Line:
Highly recommended, in my opinion you can't go wrong with a Sony monitor.
I always knew Sony made top class monitors but I never knew they were this good. My well used Sony 17" SF2 (purchased from eBay for #50) is over 10 years old now, but it still works without fail, It uses a flat Trinitron tube to produce very impressive 100mhz at 800x600 (I found at higher resolutions) the 60hz refresh rate is unacceptable, so if you only want to go up to 800x600 this is a must have monitor.
They cost about #500 when they first came out but you still see a few on eBay you don't need to pay more than #70 ($110) for a good one. I would highly recommend this monitor to anyone who uses a computer a lot and appreciates quality build.
The on screen Brightness, colour controls etc are really nice with large easily accessible buttons on the front, installing the drivers was easy, the monitor does have a large footprint and is not one of the lightest but when it's on your desk it really looks the business.
