My Sony CLIE PEG-T615C Handheld
Pros
Color screen, Lots of apps, Memory stick works with other Sony devices
Cons
Graffiti software sucks, can't store email on memory stick
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Despite Graffiti and poor mail management, the Clie is a nice PDA.
I like my Clie, but the Palm Graffiti software sucks. Instead of recognizing my handwriting, I have to learn how to write using the Graffiti handwriting system. Why do I want to learn how to write again? The Apple Newton had handwriting recognition capability 5 to 10 years ago. It was just plain dumb on Palm's part (Clie uses the Palm OS) force us to use Graffiti.
In addition, if you have a large Outlook mailbox, you can't store mail on a 128Mb memory stick. It only installs in the Clie internal memory. This along with confusing Outlook message sorting (can't sort by date!) leaves a lot to be desired. I think Palm developers brain-farted on their mail design.
I would also add that Sony has given us a handicapped version of the Palm OS. Export features are limited as is upgrading to newer versions of the Palm OS.
