Not the best camera, but it gets the job done!

Pros Small size, big screen, durability
Cons Lots of batteries, slow shutter speed
Recommended it? No
The Bottom Line:  If you are a beginner, you may enjoy this camera. Those who have had others will be frustrated with many of the features.
I have several Sony cameras and this is my most recent. I have had this camera for around two years and if I could, I would upgrade. There are many features that I wish could be changed.

My favorite part of this camera is the durability. I put my camera in its pouch and carry it everywhere. I have dropped it a few times, and apart from some scratches, it survived. There are newer models that weather "tough" users better, so you should still be careful with this.

I enjoy the size of this camera, but there is no viewfinder. The back of the camera is one large screen, but if there is bad lighting or glare, it can be hard to see the pictures.

From having other Sony cameras, it was annoying to have to switch to a new type of memory stick. I have five plus "long" memory sticks that do not work in this camera. Also if you have the ports on your computer for the memory sticks, they will not work with this smaller stick. There are adaptors but that is another thing to deal with.

I do enjoy how many pictures I can take with my memory sticks. You can change the size the pictures save on the card. There is even a nice size that automatically resizes for e-mails. One problem with this size is that you cannot zoom in on the pictures because of the quality. If you just need to take a lot of pictures, you can use this for easy storage.

One of the biggest cons is how fast it goes through batteries. This is easily remedied if you buy rechargable batteries. It lasts at least ten times longer with this type of battery.

Another problem is the slow shutter speed. My friends have nicknamed this feature "Blurry-mode." It is very difficult to take a picture without flash and have it be clear. Even flash pictures can focus on the wrong part of the picture.

Overall, I would recommend another type of camera. I have enjoyed using this one and I will continue to until it breaks but there are many features that need to be reworked. For the price, I got exactly what I paid for.
