My second Sony digital camera

The Bottom Line:
I recommend this camera for those wanting a compact camera that takes good quality pictures. Almost foolproof in Auto mode.
I recently got a Sony DSC-T100 and have had a Sony DSC-P9 for a few years. I got it because I was looking for a camera that would easily fit in my shirt pocket. Picture quality has been great and recharge time for the flash is significantly faster than my old P9. Taking pictures in low light were a little grainy but I was able to clear-up most of the graininess with Corel Paint. I have used the burst mode which allows up to 100 shots; and I have to admit, the results were great (although while taking the shots, the screen would go blank temporarily which made it impossible to see what I was shooting). Taking movies in the Fine mode produced great results for computer display, but the display on a standard TV was quite poor (I don't know what it looks like on a digital TV). The menu took a little getting used to; although, once I understood how to use it, it made sense. The viewer is large with a beautiful display (in normal light conditions), but could be easily scratched if dropped or not set down carefully. I put a protective plastic sheet that you use on PDA's over the screen to protect it.
