I've bought 2 of these discmans because I wanted to get a portable CD player that I could take on trips in the car or on a plane.
I didn't want to spend $200 on a fancy ESP no-skip discman, or a funky colored waterproof one, because I didn't need one like that. I just wanted a simple discman that would play my music.
After I bought the first one, I thought it was great. It played all of my CDs very well, sound was excellent. 6 months after I purchased it, this is what happened:
- I would put a CD in the discman, and press the PLAY button.
- The CD would start spinning in the discman, and on the display screen, TRACK 01 would be showing.
- 15 seconds later, the CD would stop spinning, and the discman would shut off.
It broke.
SO! I took the discman to the electronics repair place on Central Ave, and left it there for them to give me an estimate for how much it would cost to fix it. 2 days later, they told me my discman was "non-repairable."
What the hell is that???? How can you NOT BE ABLE to fix a discman??
Stupid me, I bought another one. I thought this was a ONCE IN A LIFETIME thing...sort of like you can't be struck by lighting twice, right?
My 2nd discman (same exact model) broke the EXACT same way. I have yet to buy another one since.
DO NOT BUY THIS DISCMAN. It will break on you and you WON'T BE ABLE TO FIX IT.
