Great Discman, but not for everyone.

I have mixed emotions about this Discman, there are things I love about it and things I don't like about it. I originally bought this Discman to put in my parents new car which didnt have a CD player and use it only for that purpose.
In the car: THE GOOD: It works great in the car. Just plug in the adapter in the cigarette lighter, stick the tape in the tape deck and boom, you've got a cd player. No need to worry about it skipping either, I have had no problems with this yet...and I've been on some pretty bumpy roads. The sound that comes out of it is great, as if there was a cd player pre-installed in the car. I have other friends with different portable cd players in thier car and they dont work half as good as mine does. I like to listen to my music LOUD and the player doesn't affect the quality at all.
THE BAD: The player came with velcro that you can stick in your car for when you are driving but theres not much room in mine to stick it anywhere. Plus, I didn't want to have ugly velcro somewhere when I wasnt using it. So, I just sit it between the 2 seats in the front and for the most part it stays put. But, when I turn a corner it tends to go flying to the floor sometimes. From this happening a few times the surface of the player has gotten quite scratched. It seems to scratch very very easily.
CARRYING IT AROUND: The player is not made of material that is very durable and seems quite delicate so I would not recommend it to kids or teenagers as they would probably get it scratched up quite easily. I would go for a more bulky sport discman for them. When you carry it around while listening to it, it is sort of slippery and could easily fall out of kids hands. I have put it in my bookbag before and it has gotten scratched up from that too. If your careful, it is ok for walking around. The cool silver finish is just great for looks, I guess.
However, I definetly would recommend this Discman to someone who would be very careful with it and would leave it in one place most of the time, like in a car. It is great for someone who doesn't have a cd player in thier car and wants to get one cheap!
