The Bottom Line:
Because this is a cheap low-end player I would recommend it to anyone because it won't empty out your pocket. But you will get one nice and stylish player.
Intro... I bought this CD player at...
I bought this cd player online for a rather low price of 49.99. After tax and shipping it came closer to 60.00. I have always been a big fan of Sony's audio products. They have always been my favorite manufacturer. I have quite a few of their players, as well as some other brands, but like I said, Sony is my favorite.

My oh so important epinion on stats and features!
Ok, first I just wanted to explain that storage media applys only to CD players or Mp3 players that can store files such as mp3's. Most CD players DO NOT have storage. The disc mechanism is top-load which is your average disc mechanism. There is only one cd player I know that doesn't have that mechanism. That player is the sony 10th anniversery of the CD, CD player. Anyway, the disc mechanism seems to work flawlessly. One thing that for me a CD player has to have to get a good review is the shuffle play mode. It mixes up the songs so you never know what you are going to get. This player also has another good feature, digital volume. This means the volume is shown on the screen so you don't have to look on that little wheel. That also means the volume locks when you lock the buttons on the player, thats a big plus. This is a nice convienence. This player also has a 4.5V DC input jack. This means you can plug this player into your average home outlet! This is a feature I love considering I hate wasting precious energy from batteries!
NOTE: DC CORD TO PLUG THE PSYC IN IS NOT INCLUDED

Looks Sleek and stylish.
As a coustumer one of the most important things I consider when purchasing anything is looks. This is a CD player where I really like the base color. It is a dark navy blue. It is both stylish and attractive. The buttons are a bright red color. They are also easy to find without looking. This is because they are shapped as the sign of the mode. This makes it easy to find in the dark also. I like this players sleek design...alot!

Batteries...Uses...
This player uses your classic AA. It uses two of them. The battery life seems to be around 20 hours, that seems pretty good for a lower-end sony model. Others that use 2 AA bateries last into the 30's and some that use 4 can last into the 70's. But for now, the battery life is OK.

Sound Quality... Pretty good for a low-end player.
Compared to other players this players sound is OK. But I think it would be excellent for anybody. It is clear and crisp and there aren't any skips as I explain below. This player also features AVLS. That limits the volume so you won't blast your ears. This is good for concened parents. Although I only find the AVLS (Automatic Volume Limiting System) pratical for loud rock music. It is not useful when listening to classical or vocal music. The music is just to quiet.

Skips... Not too many here!
This CD player has the sony ESPMAX 48 second anti-skip protection. It stops most if not all of skipping during my common activities such as sleeping and watching tv. LOL. Just kidding. It stops skips when I walk, jog or when I am riding a bike.

Negatives...I have to be really pick to find them.
So far there has only been one major thing that bothered me. There is no pause button. But of course it's Sony to the rescue! Sony made up for this by adding a cool feature. They made it so when you press stop the system turns off but than when you turn it back on it starts in the same spot. This button is kind of a 3 in 1 deal. The button stops, pauses, and turns off the system. Than when you press play it resumes.

Conclusion... I would recommend this to...
So far I have had a very pleasent time with my Sony D-E220. Its both stylish but still versatile and sony fits those cool features in too. I would recommend this to basically anybody because it is not a major financial invesment. Its nice and cheap but still very functional.
