Durable, Affordable, Dang Good.

Pros ESP, Durability
Cons none
Recommended it? Yes
I received this fine product as a Christmas gift from my father about two years ago. It was wonderful, it overall had a good sound quality, rarely skipped and is about the only cd player that has been in my hands to last over a year. Which means that for everyone else, it'll probably never break.

Now seeing as I tend to be a bit rough with the equipment being the average teen on the go, durability is a big issue for me. I mean, do I really want to shell out $100 every time I accidently drop my cd play down a flight of stairs? No, and nor do I have the funds to. Which is why I would recommend this to anyone who has problems keeping their equipment due to abuse. This thing survives hard core abuse, I'm talking about falling down a flight of concrete stairs and bouncing into the street, getting thrown around in a backpack filled with 40 lbs of books and getting habitually knocked on the ground on surfaces both cushioned and hard as a rock. Yes, my cd player survived it all and only fell to being left out in the rain one fateful afternoon.

Seeing as durability is a big issue with me given the examples of how I treat my electronics I rate this a ten. But not simply for it's ability to withstand my torture, aside from that is an all around good item. In regards to the sound it is one of good quality for your average music lover (although I wouldn't recommend using the bass boost on most rock selections, tends to come out rather nasty and fuzzy) it's easy to carry, not heavy and bulky, and the ESP feature is excellent (to the point where my cd only skipped if I dropped it and the cd actually fell out). And all this is wrapped up into one long lasting well-rounded and affordable little package for the taking. It's a must, and not just for the careless member of your household.
