Great player at a good price

Pros good price, nice sound, ESP skip protection
Cons not too many features
Recommended it? Yes
I got this CD player as a gift for my birthday last year, and have been happily impressed with it ever since. My last portable CD player, a Kenwood from '93 skipped way too much and seemed like it was playing music backwards.

With ESP (Electronic shock protection), this Discman offers 10 second skip protection, which is usually enough for everyday use. I wouldn't recommend jogging or playing hockey (I'm probably the only one who would do this anyway) while wearing it, but it is extremely helpful in the car, on bumpy rides.

The sound is excellent. I've even used it on road trips in my friend's car, hooked up through her little Toyota soundsystem, and it's still awesome.

It's not chock full of features, but does offer several modes of play and three levels of bass and a hold feature, so if you throw this in you bag, it won't accidently get turned on, draining the battery. I've found that this CD player gets a long life on normal batteries (when ESP is off), but an AC adapter is included.

All in all, a great little CD player for a good price.
