The CD player with narcolepsy
Pros
Inexpensive, looks sharp
Cons
Unexplained shut-offs, crappy "groove" mode
Recommended it?
No
The Bottom Line:
Good budget player with questionable sound quality in "Groove" mode.
I purchased this unit at the local Wal-Mart for the bargain price of $80.
The unit functioned perfectly for the first few months, with almost no skipping and a respectable battery life. Then all of a sudden the player developed a tendency to just turn off out of no where. I tried to remedy the problem by replacing the batteries with fresh ones...but to no avail!
Dead broke, I was forced to stick with the little player, problems and all.
The awful groove mode made matters worse. It saddened me to think that I'd paid for this awful feature that makes most music unintelligble in haze of distortion.
