Awesome Player

Pros Everything. Design is just so pleasing to the eyes. Nicely designed remote and CD player body. Long Battery Life Never Skips Great sound
Cons The Price may be a bit hefty
Recommended it? Yes
There really isn't much more to be said than I've put down already in the pros and cons. This player is Awesome. The battery life is exceptional even without the additional AA's. I do believe I get about 20-25 hours a charge on the included NM-HD batteries. The sound is great especially for a portable player. Like a previous reviewer said the pair of ear buds that come with the player are so-so. Go out and buy a better pair of headphones to really see how well this unit sounds. The design is just nice and it'll wow your friends. The G-protection is the best skip protection i've ever experienced. With the D-EJ01 there is no need to turn it on or off since it's always on and it does not suck any battery life at all. Well if it did we would never know since we can't turn it off to compare but 20-25 hours on rechargeable batteries is great no matter how you look at it. The only problems I have had with this player are minor. The disc sometimes doesn't go in properly and you'll have to eject it and put it back in. This can be fixed just by giving the disc a nice firm push into the player instead of a little nudge and hoping the player takes it all in. And the carrying case is design is stupid. Sure it looks nice but it does not take advantage of the slide mechanism. you can't replace CD's as long as the player is in the case since the the mesh fabric is covering the opening. You'll have to slide the player out a ways and twist it so the opening is clear. Very troubling considering that shouldn't have had to be the way Sony designed it. Other than that the price tag is a bit big. I got mine for 250 when it first came out because I was lucky enough to be in Singapore at the time of it's release. If you plan on a trip to Asia keep this in mind. you can bargain with the shopkeepers. That's what i did. knocked it down 50 us dollars from the already then low price. tax free too.
