The Best Handheld CD Player!

Pros Great Sound, Long lasting battery life, no skipping AT ALL, digital sound, and anything else that is good!
Cons Uh...The Display doesn't light up unless you plug it into the outlet. (Backlite)
Recommended it? Yes
I have had many different CD Players, all of them Sony because I try not to buy any kind of electronic's that are not made by Sony because I feel that they last the longest and usually work the best. This CD Player is another example of that.

This "Sony CD Walkman, G-Protection" is extremely slim, and very well built (looks included). If you look at the picture you will notice Display that shows everything about the CD. That Display screen is the first of its kind, not many other CD-Players have the buttons surrounding the screen in such a way, it is very innovative.

Now I will explain all of the qualities of this CD Player. It has the usual Buttons to Play + Pause, Stop, Fast Forward, Rewind, Play Mode (which lets you shuffle, or program), Repeat, Sound (Digital Bass Controller), the CD Player cover open (you slid it to the right, interesting, not the usual button), headset jack (w/ remote capabilities, remote headset not included but a nice accessory), Digital Volume (not usually/ never seen), Hold switch (slid it to the right to lock the buttons, if you want non-interrupted music), Line Out jack (for external speakers), DC IN 4.5V jack (rechargeable battery capability), and the G-Protection switch (which lets you turn it off if you are not in a bumpy situation).

This CD Player comes with many accessories including; headphones, DC Adapter (with battery charger capability), Cigarette lighter power supply that you plug into the DC jack, gray cover and carrier with Velcro strap for active use (very handy, the strap goes over your hand and you can run, walk, and do whatever you want, also has a slit so you can see the display and button symbols printed on the cover) and CD-to-Tape converter (for those times that you don't have a CD Player in your car).

This CD Player does not eat up your batteries, and you can even see how much battery life you have used because on the Display panel, battery life is shown. Although this CD Player is able to use rechargeable batteries I find that those batteries don't last as long for some reason (it may be that I am not used to them, I usually just use the regular ones because they do last a long time).

As for sound quality, I can say that it is extremely good. I feel that all Sony CD Players have great sound clarity and precision. This one is just like the others, wonderful, just with more shock protection. Also, if you would like to know how the G-Protection works its very simple.

When G-Protection is active, the tiny computer records the next 45 seconds of music and remembers it. When the CD Player is hit or dropped it plays back the memory until the laser goes back to exactly where it started. If you read the Instruction Manual it will explain that when the memory is being played back it uses up the most battery life then so don't go around hitting the CD Player all the time! I have had this Cd Player for at least 5 months, and although you may think that I am lying, the Cd Player has not skipped once, not even ONCE!

Overall its a great CD Player, so go out and buy it! You may even get a deal! It says that it should cost $139 I got it for about $109, so try to find a deal...its worth ever penny!
