This is a CD player to consider if you're very active while carrying and listening to your music. Otherwise, check out the many other styles and brands available.
You need this if you're active. Otherwise, any number of portable CD players would do.
The Sony G protection (anti-skipping) is truly very good, and I would say is this portable CD player's main asset. If you want to carry music while working out, this is a good choice for it. It gives you almost no skipping whatsoever and very long battery life (over 20 hours).
It comes with headphones, rechargeable batteries, a case, and an AC converter plug. It does not come with a car kit.
While the headphones have an in-line remote for basic functions that's very handy when exercising or walking, their "street" style is not for everyone. They are meant to be worn hooked on the ears and sloped back on your neck, instead of on top of your head. IF they fit your ears and IF you don't find them annoying, they do stay on during exercise, but those are big ifs. If you don't have experience with this type of headphone, I would go into a store and try a similar style on before purchasing this CD player.
The case is very snug fitting, and it's a little difficult to get the CD player in and out of it. It has a strap for carrying in the hand, presumably while walking, but I find the case pretty useless. If you find it useless as well and still want to use this CD player to work out with, you would need to find some other way to keep it very close to you, as the headphone cord is not very long by any means.
