Eeh, Too Expensive For What You Get

Cons
warranty runs out - thing breaks; no good with cd-rw's

No
The Bottom Line:
Overall, it's not a horrible player, but the reliability was crap, and it really wasn't worth the price.
I bought this cd player one year ago primarily for in-car use. Paid $175 at Best Buy. It worked fine for in-car use -- no problems. Remote control was very convenient to use while driving.
Problems started when I took this thing running. The plastic carrying sleeve with velcro hand strap was FANTASTIC, but the unit had the tendency to stop for 10-20 seconds every now and then while running. Apparently it's not too keen on sweeping arm movement of runners. Eventually it would just stop entirely and not restart.
Trying to fumble with the very small remote control buttons with wet (read: sweaty) hands while running caused the thing to short circuit, and now it doesn't work at all. Warranty ran out, and trying to get service/repair is useless.
Also, the unit doesn't read cd-rw's very well. It interprets the pause between tracks on cd-rw's as an ear-piercing supersonic shriek.
And did I mention the goofy (circa 1989) headphones? Or what about the external battery pack? Plug in all the accessories and adaptor pods, and the thing looks like a Hydra.
