G-protection was introduced almost a year ago, and sill many of you have not purchased one of these amazing products. This CD player is now holding the tittle for the "worlds smallest and thinnest" portable CD player on the market.
Sony has informed us that what G-protection stands for is, "quick focus and high speed data storage" which will allow the CD player to recover tracks within 0.3 seconds.
Now what I have noticed about this CD player is that all it is not built to last forever like the very older models which are about 4 times as thick as this. But Sony will repair any damages within one year of the product.
The remote is a handy feature, it allows you to see somewhat small backlit LCD screen in the dark. Any remote is a good remote, but I think that Sony could have done a better job with this one. For the tittle "worlds smallest and thinnest" CD player, you can easily expect that it will be the best. I would think that Sony would have provided a better remote such as the remote which comes with the DEJ01.
Battery strength is great. With the 2 rechargable chewing gum batteries and the 2 AA batteries from the external battery supply that music will never stop. Sony claims that you can get 64 hours of music, but I have tested and it will not reach that high, It may probably only reach 40 hours.
Now the sound on this is great. For those of you who know about frequency response, well this can go up to 20000Hz, or +1/-2dB.
All in all this sleek CD player is a great way to listen to music anywhere you want to go. I recommand this unit to anyone willing to send then money.
