You can't get any better than this portable CD player in size and design.
This is my second CD player from Sony, and it's what i've been looking for. If you're looking to get a new CD player (portable) that is slim in design and barely weighs anything and looks great - this is the portable CD player for you! I've seen some of the prices offered for this item but if you shop around you can get it for $150, and that's with taxes!! I wouldn't spend more than $150 for this CD player. Why? Most of the models sold here in the states are made in Malaysia and not in Japan. What is the difference? The material in which it is made with. The one made in Japan is made with metal and weighs slightly more than the one made in Malaysia. The one made in Malaysia is not, in my opinion, all metal. It has metal qualities but i don't believe it is completely metal. The fact that it is made with a not as high a quality material contributes to the cost and weight of the item.
The battery life (if the extra G-protection is not switched on) is pretty good with normal play. It doesn't skip while walking or going up or down stairs. The CD player comes with automatic resume, meaning wherever you stop your CD (in mid song), it resumes where you stopped last when you play again which is great!
the remote is great and easy to work with. it comes with two rechargeable batteries, AC adapter, and carrying case for when you jog. it also comes with an external battery pack which was poorly designed.
I'm glad I bought this CD player. It's perfect for me because it isn't big nor does it take up space in my bag, and i don't have to switch on the extra G-protection (which does kill the battery life).
