Yes
This is my 4th Sony G-protection CD player, so I think that I know something about CD players.
I got this CD player as a gift from my uncle for my birthday and out of the other better ones I have I think I?ll keep this one.
SKIPPING
For CD players most people are looking for one, which is impossible to skip. They are willing to pay more and more to find one. Well, here is your solution. A new line of products by Sony, which decreases the odds of skipping. This may be confusing to some people but I will explain it as best as I can; The CD player inputs 3-12 seconds of sound into it's memory, and when the CD player can not read the CD for some reason it uses more battery strength to rotate the motor with more force, so the may recover faster, therefore it is always 3-12 seconds ahead of the actual CD when playing. (Sorry if you don't understand).
BATTERY LIFE
Sony claims that this CD player can play for 32 hours non-stop. And for some of you it is hard to believe, but believe it or not it can. When I was at a fair out doors and it started to rain, I throw my CD player into my backpack and ran home. After a hot shower and 11 hours of sleep, I woke up and did the regular things. And again the day ended and I went to sleep. When I woke up I had school in the morning so I grabbed my backpack to place my books in, and what did I see? My CD player still repeating itself with a very low battery level. So to end that topic I personally do think the CD player can handle 32 hours of playing on fully recharged batteries.
RADIO
I really don't understand much about how radio works, but I know how to get the tones I like to listen too, and to set the station it is pretty easy and most of the time sound is clear.
FEATURES
There are so many features on this CD player, and for the low cost! It?s truly amazing. Firstly, the feature I love the most about this CD player is the remote, which is included. The remote is wired and connected to the CD player itself, and is able to control songs, volume, base, and some more which can all be displayed on a small LCD which is backlit. And on the main unit, it has a setting so the volume will not cause any hearing problems; it also has 2 levels of base, and much more. Too many to really name.
SOUND
For the average listener, the sound is pretty good, but for me I have been listening to CDs for a while now and this CD player can probably top all of the best CD players made by Panasonic or JVC.
OVERALL
Overall I would say your getting a pretty good deal. I recommend it for those who have tons and tons of CDs and don't have a portable CD player. Get this one, or if your looking for something new to listen to music with, forget all the MP3 stuff and go for the MiniDisc players.
