Yes
The Bottom Line:
I would recommend this to anyone who wants a reasonably priced system who like a lot of bass. Or anyone who already has a lot of Sony products.
Setup on this system is a breeze, the speaker wires are totally separate from the speakers themselves, so you can place the wires without having to mount the speakers first which is a plus, and they connect to the surround system itself via special plugs instead of bare wire which makes it even more convenient.
One bad thing with Sony products and good too, is that the more Sony hardware you have the more compatible they are with each other. The remote control along with controlling the surround sound system, can control any Sony based TV, so if you have one, great. If you don't then there are a lot of extra buttons on the remote that you don't need.
The remote has all the necessary buttons to control the system except the "eject disc." It would be nice to have because when you have 5 discs in the system, it is hard to remember which disc is in which tray. The 5 disc changer can be a bit slow changing discs (about 8-10 seconds per switch)
Regards to sound quality, perfect. If you like base, this 110 watt subwoofer will satisfy your needs. It has an amplifier feature which also works well as an equalizer. The DSGX feature increases the bass a lot also. I had no problem with volume, set at 20 with a max of 40, it is loud enough.
The AM and FM radio connections are quite awkward, but useful if you want to get rid of your radio. I had no problems with reception or sound quality on both frequencies.
