The Dream System will wake you up.

Pros Low Price, Sony namebrand, quick installation, looks
Cons Stands are $99/pair, no powered sub
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  If you want to improve your home theater audio and are on a budget, buy this Dream System. Sound great in a room 12'x15'.
I was looking for a cheap yet good quality Home Theater System to go with my Sony Wega Flat screen. My budget was around $400 with delivery. I was told that the Sony DVD Dream System DAV-C450 would be a good fit with my TV and the room I was going to install this product. I found the lowest price on the internet to be $325 from etronics.com. I did some research and found that a large number of persons who have purchased this product were not too excited about the power of the system, but I ordered it anyway. Installation time was about 30mins. and the ease of install was like taking candy from a baby. I first listened to a CD on this system and I was wondering what some of these people were talking about not enough power. The sub hit pretty well for an 8 incher and the highs were more then enough. The same results when viewing a DVD. Finally I watched some television, I see what some of these people were talking about. The sub is basically non-existant while viewing the TV audio. For the price, ease of install, and performance of this audio system you cannot beat it. The system is a 5-disc changer which play DVD's, CD's, etc. I would like to purchase a 10-inch powered sub down the road to improve the system, but I have not one complaint. Everyone who has comeover and watched the NFL playoffs are pretty impressed with the price and sound. If you want your windows to crack and heart to jump out of your chest then this is not the system for you. You are probably looking for something in the ballpark of $900-$2400.
