A mistake
Pros
Cool fluorescent remote
Cons
Defective, VERY slow, huge sub-woofer.
Recommended it?
No
The Bottom Line:
Avoid this product, as it is painfully slow to respond and could cause major headaches if/when it starts eating your CDs.
I know little about DVD/CD players, but I do know that since my husband came home with this, it has caused problems in our marriage.
Advantages: small speakers; cool fluorescent remote that lights up in the dark; sleek looking.
Disadvantages: the unit itself is small, but you still have this huge sub-woofer to contend with.
The CD changer is painfully slow, and although we didn't think it would be that big a deal, it gets so frustrating to wait all the time for your CD player to respond to any remote command.
Lastly, when we bought it, we lived in NYC and therefore threw away the packaging. Big mistake, but you had to see our small apartment. So a week later, when it started skipping and then soon refused to open, we could only exchange it for another of the same type (with 6 of our CDs still inside.) A month later, when our second one started skipping then refused to open, we could only exchange it again (losing 6 more CDs.) We've had the 3rd one for over a year, and it has just started skipping again. It's probably only a matter of time before it eats 6 more CD's.
