Good looks don't have to be good performers(Can be bad performers!!)

Less setup time,Looks,Sleek size,but music is awefully bad.

The Bottom Line:
Dont ever buy this Model....
I did a lot of web study for this system, and because of the sleekness, and majority of the users said it is a good system,and as well I am a great admirer of Sony, I went for demo in the SONY exculsive showroom. The sales man played some DVD's, and I found that the sound was not very impressive, I enquired my doubts with him, he said, since it is open space as well a lot of other demo systems playing may be the real sound effect of DAV C770 could not be heard.
Anyway I took the system(the Greatest mistake in my electronics buying spree).I set this sytem, within 30 mins(I have set this in Drawing(10X15 Sq feet)room in my apt.
I played my FM , to start with even after full volume and various Audio mode setting (HALL, CONCERT etc..), I found the sound was awfully BAD(I have never heard a SONY system this bad in audio quality).
Then I checked my AUDIO CD, again the same bad performance..
Then DVD movies(Matrix/Men In BlacK)again the same bad performance..
I was totally upset of this performace, Even my computer attached speakers(with SRS WOW attachment) can give better sound quality than this when I play DVD's.
I am really surprised how this C770 model gets so much good ratings in the CNET site ???
So PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE dont ever go for this system,go for this if you want to keep this in your Drawing room as a show piece, but surely not for playing (not even FM)..
Even the much lower end SONY hometheater systems are much better than this.. so just dont get distracted by the sleeky look ..
