Sony DAV-C900 DVD Dream Home Theater System

Pros The best all in one system for the money
Cons sound fields are ok, but i would rather have 7 band EQ
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  The fastest and most economical way to go from low tech tv to having all your friends envy your cinema living room. (big tv not included)
This system is so easy to setup. Sony did an excellent job packaging this thing. For instance, the surround speakers come with 50 feet of speaker wire each. The C900 is the top of the line dream system, and what hooked me was the speaker stands. Heck, a quality set of stands will run you $90. Why buy the C700 system if you gotta go pay almost 200 bucks on stands, right? The C900 system also adds more speakers for the front, 100 more watts, and a heavier Subwoofer. The C900 sub weights almost 10lbs. more. The C900 retails in stores for $1000, but I got it at etronics.com for $709. Folks, I feel like I stole it. I put in Jurassic Park 3 on DVD and the sound is incredible. The Dino's came out of my 36" TV and ran around my living room. I was starting from scratch when I decided to go DVD/dolby digital. I'm glad this was available when I was ready to buy. Buying all the seperate pieces is just too much hassle and the cables are a nightmare. The DVD Optical cable alone will run you $40. That cable isn't needed for the c900 cause the DVD is built in.

Sony gives you 2 video inputs for this system, I would have liked to had at least 1 more. But, like another review of this system said you can work around that with a VCR. That's what I did.
