Great but...
Pros
Great size, long-lived battery, cute ring options.
Cons
The #@%***@ flip keeps breaking!!!
Recommended it?
No
The Bottom Line:
Don't buy, although comparitively cheap you'll end up shelling out on a replacement sooner rather than later.
My husband bought me this phone as a birthday gift last October. Being averse to too many gadgets on a phone, (all I really want is to make and receive calls!!) I was delighted and especially liked the, 'flip-down' feature allowing me to feel like I'm talking into the phone as opposed to thin air!! This also prevents unnecessary, 'accidental' calls without the cumbersome necessity of locking the key pad between uses.
The phone itself is easy to use, stored numbers are easy to program, and I have the option of sending text messages. This is great for communicating, (almost free of charge at $5 month,) with friends and family in England as well as not disturbing my husband in a meeting to ask him to pick up some milk on the way home!
The battery is long lasting, I recharge overnight and have never yet run out of power during the day. The display is small, sure, but that's one of the cons associated with a more compact phone.
All in all I'm pretty happy with the phone but, (and it's a big BUT,) there is some design fault with the spring in the flip causing it to gradually move to the right eventually snapping the plastic. I'm currently on the second phone that this has happened to and am having trouble convincing Voicestream that I haven't been throwing the phone across the room, (a couple of the other epinions on this phone may help there!!)
My options seem to be to periodically pay $70 for a replacement every time this happens or to fork out for a new model, neither of which solutions I'm particularly happy with.
So, there you have it, great little phone apart from the fact that it doesn't stand up to the rigors of use, i.e phoning and answering calls!!!
