Hey lady - your purse is whistling!
Pros
Size, flip, caller ID, ring types, etc.
Cons
Small keys
Recommended it?
Yes
I've had my Motorola cell phone for 9 years. At the time I bought it, it was the top of the line model; the best available. It was just when the thin phones had really come into existence without making you take out a new mortgage on your house. That phone still works just fine, but the battery won't hold a charge any longer. I've been through 4 batteries in less than a year so decided it was time to retire my trusty ol' Motorola.
I began shopping, having in mind what I wanted. My main concern wasn't necessarily the phone service I got, I wanted a small phone. I like small purses and don't want the cell phone to take up most of the space.
I had seen the Ericsson phones, my niece has one and I'd been impressed with it. That's what I had in mind for size. I went into a brand new wireless communications store near my house and found the exact phone I wanted. It's the Ericsson CF768 model, but it's grey, not the yellow color you see with this article.
It's small....it's exactlythe size I was looking for. It fits so nicely in my hand and is comfortable to use.
FEATURES THAT I LIKE
********************
1.)The battery charger connects to the phone. You don't have to disconnect the battery and carry a battery charger everywhere you go like I've had to for the last 9 years!
2.)The battery has a long life. After my initial charge-up, I turned it on and left it on non-stop. During this time I probably used about 30 minutes of talk time and the battery didn't give up until 50 hours and 10 minutes had passed. I was amazed! The second time I fully charged it, I probably had about 10 minutes of talk time and it held a charge for more than 60 hours. This is so great in my book, because of the trouble I'd had with the old one holding a charge.
3.)You have several different rings to choose from. Of course I've had to change it several times just to find which one I liked best. I finally made my own melody, a real catchy tune. I was in the grocery store when it started 'ringing' and an elderly man next to me in line told me my purse was whistling Dixie!
4.)You can have voice mail, although it's a little tricky to learn how to retrieve your messages the first few times you use it.
5.)It has call waiting.
6.)You can put a call on hold.
7.)You can choose to reject a call. Since it has caller ID this feature is really easy to use!
8.)It has a flip which closes over the keys. I've found this to be very necessary since I carry it in my purse all the time. No accidentally calling someone you didn't intend to!
9.)The sound quality is great. I haven't been in any area that the sound quality was compromised, which is important to me.
I have found that navigating the menu system is pretty easy. There are a lot of options to choose from so it takes awhile to get used to all the features this phone offers.
What don't I like about the phone? Well, there isn't much that I don't like. If I HAD to say something I would say that they keys are a bit small, but I have small hands and fingers so that doesn't affect me.
I'm really glad to have found this phone and I hope I can have as good of service from it as I did from my Motorola all these years.
