Trendy a feature-rich, this beautiful smart phone doesn't leave much room for improvement.
"Can I see your phone?"
The stranger obliged, and a week later I was at the cell store buying one of my own.
The swivel was unlike anything I'd seen, and the bright, vibrant screen is noticable from across the room.
I've found the menus to be logical and easy to navigate. The camera is straightforward. But it's the same-old-lousy-cellphone-camera we're all used to. Image quality is ok only for snapshots, never for printing. Voice quality (both on my end and the other caller's) is great.
I __LOVE__ the memorystick MP3 player. I quickly upgraded to a larger capacity (the phone came with only a 32meg memorystick). Once I figured out how to covert my iTunes to MP3s, I was quickly setting songs to play as ringtones and alarms. You can play music through the phone's speakers, or get top-quality MP3 player sound by attaching the included headphones.
Only a few complaints:
Web browsing is a bit slow, but I understand it's always slow with smartphones.
That swivel shape makes it impossible to hold this phone to your ear using just one shoulder. A bluetooth headset is a must.
The keys are smooth to the body, and oddly placed, so I always have to look (no more dialing by touch).
The phone is much more bulky than the Moto Razr I was used to, but then this one has a lot more features.
