A small phone with lots of convenient features

Pros Voice-activated dialing, small size, vibrating alert
Cons Small buttons, no games
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Good solid phone with very convenient features. Voice-activated dialing is the stand-out feature of the phone.
I have used this phone for about 15 months now and I still love it. The main reason why I purchased this phone in the first place was that my old phone did not have a flip cover on it so I often dialed numbers and called people accidentally, but I soon discovered that this phone had much more to discover.

Voice-activated dialing:

This is quite an innovative feature where so simply record a voice label for a phone number, and every time you speak that name into the phone, it'll dial that number for you. This is basically speed dial taken one step beyond. You first have to press the button on the side of the phone, then you speak the name into the phone after the beep, and then the voice label is repeat on the phone to let you verify that it's the right number that you want to call, and then you're connected. It's a great feature. The only bad thing about this feature is that the phone usually doesn't recognize the voice label if you're in a noisy area. But overall, it's sure beats pressure a sequence of buttons to look for a number in the phone book.

Vibrating Alert:

This has become a pretty standard feature on most phones, but this is the first phone that I owned that had it. It is very convenient when you're in a noisy place when it's difficult to here your phone ring. I have missed many important calls before because I couldn't hear my phone ring. The vibrating alert solves that problem.

Volume Control:

The volume control is very strategically placed on the phone. There are two buttons on the side of the phone where your thumb would be if you held the phone with your left hand. These buttons can be used to lower and raise the volume during a call. The great thing is you can feel where the buttons are instead of having to look for them visually.

Battery:

The phone comes standard with a Ni-MH battery. I don't believe a Li battery was even an option. Battery life is not spectacular; it lasts about a week on standby, with the phone on about an average of 8 hours a day. And it lasts about 2 hours talk time. The great thing is the battery charger that comes with the phone. It takes less than an hour to charge to phone from empty to full.

Other comments:

The buttons on the phone are rather small and are sometimes a little insensitive, but that's not a major concern. Also, for those that are used to the Nokia phones, this phone doesn't come with any games, probably due to the small screen.

In general, this is a very good phone with very convenient features. I did not say anything about the sound clarity or reception because that has a lot to do with the service provider you choose. It's not the smallest or flashiest cellular phone out there, but it's a solid performer.
