The Bottom Line:
Do NOT get this phone; buy a Nokia instead...they may be ugly, but they work.
I purchased this phone about eight months ago after my Nokia 5165 just proved to be to large and heavy for daily use. I don't regret loosing the old phone, which I always received clear reception on, but I wish I had picked another Nokia.
For starters, the reception on this phone is horrible. No matter where I am, I always have issues, even when the antenna meter reports a full connection. The phone does have the option of an attached external antenna, but this piece of equipment did not come with the phone and I cannot find one anywhere! Not on the AT&T website (where I purchased the phone) nor on the Ericsson website. What gives?
Secondly, after about three months, the faceplate began to pull away from the phone, and created a small gap for dust to seep in. I have tried replacing the faceplate with no luck; my screen is still covered in little dust balls, which make it difficult to read in direct sunlight.
Another problem that has cropped up is a quirky voice tag system. It seems that if I have more that 6 or 7 voice tags saved, my phone will confuse at least one of them and assign it (the voicetag) to two numbers. I have tried to delete the tags and the numbers and reinstall everything, but to no avail.
On the plus side, I have dropped this phone a few times right onto the sidewalk and it still continues to work (note: The problems with the phone all began before the first time it hit the concrete), so it is somewhat durable.
