Can't get enough of it

Pros Vibrant colors, powerful DTV tuner built in, great audio quality.
Cons Have to swap input sources when using PIP sometimes
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  I stongly recommend it. Go to Best Buy or Circuit City and compare for yourself. You'll see.
I don't know what it is about Sony and vibrant colors, whether it be with their digital cameras, video cameras, or televisions, but this HDTV 50" model lives up to the same standard. It's simply the most vibrant colors you'll ever see with a projection TV. And if you have a sony digital camera with a memory stick, you can plug the mem stick in your TV and the photos look better on TV than on your computer! I have discovered about 18-20 DTV stations over the air in my local area that I didn't even know existed, and all I needed was an old rabbit ear antenna, and even the 720i programming seems clearer than satellite TV. When you watch 1080i programing in HD, you will stay glued to the TV no matter what's on! The most spectacular unbelievable pictures are still live sporting events in 1080i HD. If you aren't a sports fan, you will become one after watching it on this set.
But even HD programing that has been filmed for later broadcasts, like Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien, PBS documentaries, etc are crystal clear and high quality HD.
The tuner seems powerful enough to easily get DTV broadcasts from as far as 50 miles away with a standard rabbit ear antenna, all crystal clear as if it were next door.
You will also be impressed with the superb audio output during HD broadcasts if you have a surround sound system to hook up to.
If you want great all-around quality at a reasonable price, go with this model. If you want to heat your house and run up your electric bills, get a plasma instead.
