IT IS NOT SAFE TO BUY A SONY TV READ
I bought my KDF 50WE655 in February of 06 from COMPUSA, now out of business. I just got off the phone with a level 4 customer relations manager who offered $400 toward the cost of repair, or the "buy one more" option for just $1350 plus tax. One of the best tv's out there (period)
The picture on this TV is unbelievable. Since it comes with an ATSC tuner, it uses that to decode the TV signals. An ATSC tuner is way better then any regular NTSC tuner. I don't need a separate set top box to watch The Simpsons on HDTV because it's built in.

Unbelievable TV
I bought this TV after asking a lot of questions. I have it in a smaller room compared to most and the picture quality is still amazing.
