Purchase the unit. One of the best available. Just save all paperwork for warranty needs.
Very nice picture and sound! The video and sound system are very good, I sold my home theater sound system. With my Directv Tivo Satellite and DVD connected via component cables I get a picture virtually as good as HD. I choose this model over the XBR and Sony's other 60" based on the design and sound system. The remote is easy to use and picture/sound adjustments are very easy.
We just remodeled and the first comment we get, is WOW what a TV!(My wife is not pleased..lol!)
I did a lot of on-line research as well as viewing almost every big screen TV on the market before choosing this model. Purchased at LCDTVS.COM for $3353.00 including shipping.
Short life on projection lamp(3/4/05-10/10/05). Save ALL paperwork, Sony's warranty Dept will require all and a lot more! Had a very bad experience with the first representative upon trying to use the warranty on the bulb, even though registration was sent in. Parts dept does not have access to registration(can you believe it?)
I finally got fed up, hung up and called back, this rep was apologetic and did help. Still had to send in proof of purchase and delivery.
I still think this is a great system.
