Sony Handycam HDR-SR5 (40 GB) Flash Media, Hard Drive Camcorder

I bought it 3 months ago on eBay … comes with the basics but it's a lower cost HD camcorder after all – it is hard to make the output video format work on your home pc … the AVCHD is new and only a few video cards support direct video decompression … most software is relaying on CPU to do the work and that jams it quite often – I have a quad-core and Sony's video player breaks on playing … a great tool for editing and format conversion is Pinnacle Studio – its not expensive and will let you edit and save to other more common video formats – that's what I do.
Overall – incredible performance high quality HD and great sound recording, simple to use. The battery is low capacity but you can always get extended life one on eBay or from a Sony dealer.
