Sony Clock Radio Review ~ It Wakes Me Up In The Morning! ~
Pros
Works, works, works
Cons
Pretty much antique today, can you find one somewhere?
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
One of those things you just need to own!
There is some things everyone will need. One of them is alarm clock, right? So I was looking around my house looking for another plug-in thing to device when it was actually staring right at me next to my computer!
I believe we've had ours for five or so years already and I cannot complain! Ours is black, the one on the photo here is white so I know there is at least those two colors out there.
This a basic simple thing, easy to set up and change the time by few pushes of a button. It says "DREAM MACHINE" next to the snooze button and it always makes me smile. Snooze button is long and simple to find when you are half asleep for that extra few minutes of snooze.
There is a radio with AM/FM tuners and you can wake up either to your radio or very loud peeping sound. I'd lie if I say that the music sounds great, to me it has more of that crackly almost antique homey radio sound to it.
But the most important thing about this little clock radio to me that it has worked without a hick-up since we bought it. There is a battery back-up in case your power goes out, only one 9V battery required and I think I've changed it once since we bought this alarm radio combo.
Time display is big enough and bright enough to see across the room at night and cord is long enough to juggle it around a bit.
This radio is about 7 1/2 inches wide and little under 5 inches long. I'm sure there is smaller radios around but it works for me. Over the years this alarm has been knocked around and my kids been playing with the radio a bit but it just keeps working like new.
So if you are looking for a clock radio put Sony on your list for the quality and performance!
