Awesome TV for the Price!!

Pros very light, compact design, excellent picture quality, easy menu navigation, CHEAP! BUT AWESOME QUALITY!
Cons pic sucks out of the box, needs play around with the picture setting
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  GET THIS SONY! - cheap - best quality
This is my first flatsreen lcd tv and not for one second I ever regret buying this. I bought it only for $1700 already including 5 year deal and 1 year bulb replacement, for this product, the bulb is not as expensive as other tvs, for the 42inch, its only 200 bucks, while for the 50 inch, i think is about 300? i'm not sure about that, but no problem.

Tv very very very light, if there were handles i could literarily hold it off the ground with one hand (not recommended of course) but it's really that light, also compact design with speakers on the bottom instead of on th sides. sleek design, producing crisp crystal clear picture.

This definitely have Sony written all over it.

out of the box, pic is set on Vivid, this sucks, (red push) you might want to play around with the picture setting abit, not going to lie, takes a while to have the right pic setting. Can't remember on top of my head, but will update this reveiw as soon as I get home. once you get the right pic settings, man! this tv will rock your house! with a hi-def box and monstercable/ARcables, this definitely beats plasmas that probably costs 500-1000 bucks more.

Although, i recommend to watch this tv at eye-level and more than 8 feet., also no window effect, i have a sectional, and anywhere I seat, get the same great quality pic

Get THIS TV! DON'T THINK TOO MUCH IF YOU'RE ON A BUDGET JUST LIKE I WAS.

****UPDATE**** - as promised, here are my settings for the TV, again, it totally depends on your preference: / = to

Picture Mode - Custom
Iris - 2/3
Picture - 55/65
Brightness - 50
Color - 40/55
Hue - G19/G23
Color Temp - Cool
sharpness - 50/60
noise reduction - high
black character - low
Advanced Iris - low
Gamma - low or off (I like low better)
Clear White - off
live color - low

NOTE: PUTTING EVERYTHING HIGH MAY SOUND LIKE IT'S HELPING THE QUALITY PICTURE, BUT ACTUALLY GOING TO MAKE IT WORSE AND JEOPERDIZE PRODUCT LIFE

enjoy your SONY...
