Don't buy from Sony
We purchased this set in Sept. 2006 and paid $2500. After 2 1/2 years of terrific viewing, colored vertical lines appear across the screen, the remote won't work, there is no sound. Technician said it will cost $800 to fix when a 46 inch flat panel will cost $1200.
Sony will not cover it...

Excellent television
the television is well worth the money. it has excellent HDTV pictures, standard definition is pretty good on 4:3 aspect. the size is perfect, functions really well out of the box. you don't need to make many adjustments at all. for the price, you can't go wrong with this television.
