The Bottom Line:
Buy this Beast and watch HDTV the way it is meant to be watched...
This Sony 60" was a gift to myself for a year of hard work and lots of accomplishment...I just bought my first home and decided to bless it with this beautiful piece of machinery...I was going to buy a 50" Plasma from either Zenith or Panasonic but I didn't want to have a TV that I have to think twice about using for anything other than watching TV...Now, I don't 100% believe the hype about Plasma's short lifespan, burn-in issues, or video-game problems...But, it still looms in the back of my mind...The close viewing angles were a big issue with me and was happy to find that this Sony exhibits very minor, if any, picture loss from extreme angles at close distances...The Super Bowl will be better than ever this year...The Heat looked amazing spanking the Lakers this Christmas...The HDTV Tuner is super strong and only require a pair of Rabbit Ears to pick up all the HDTV channels...I switch between cable and antenna by hitting the jump button so you don't have to go into the menu over and over again when watching HD over the air and a catv program...Paid $2400 for it from BrandsmartUSA with a 5year in-home warranty and 3 bulb replacements with tax and delivery for an additional $650...Total $3050...Place it on a stand about 2' Tall and your'e set...
