SONY does it again with this beauty!
I suppose being the Director of Home Theatre for a large electronics store is a blessing in a way! You get to try out all the goodies and play with them. Great Flat Panel Set, HD, Costco Price approx. 2,700 as of April 2007
I've had this set (actually bought two of them) for a few months now and they have been great! Of course in order to get the maximum from these LCD sets you need to have an HD capable set top box from your cable/satellite provider. Great Picture--Even with Standard Def

Best TV I have ever owned, oh yea, its Sony, DUH!
I've owned many brands of TV's over the years Sony being one of them and they have always had better quaility, features and lasting power then any other. Same goes for this.
This is the latest version of their 46" XBR and it is amazing. I don't even have HD yet and the quaility is unreal...

Wish I could of bought this after price drops.
The Sony KDL-40XBR3 is a 40-inch, liquid crystal display television. Compared to other liquid crystal display TVs on the market, it is expensive at around $2,940. This unit has an LCD display, which is generally the best kind of flat-panel screen for viewing in brightly-lit rooms.

Top notch LCD
I have had this set for about a month now. I have absolutely no complaints at all about this set. Beautiful picture. Great blacks for a LCD. Vibrant, life-like colors on HD content. I have a up-convert DVD player connected via HDMI and DVD's are impressive as well. Read full review »

Compared this Sony unit with its competitors and in every electronics store, the Sony always impressed me. In my mind, his unit is the top of the top.
