Most detailed of any set on market

Pros A truly beautiful picture that captivates daily
Cons Not wall mounted but at $1850 laugh all the way to the bank
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  For the discerning viewer only since its picture is truly that good.
No set has more pixels than this set. That means nobody has more resolution. Next try to buy a 60 inch set with 1080 p and you will likely spend 200%. At 90 pounds it is half the weight and half the thickness of previous projection sets so it does not dominate a room except for its massive picture.

It upconverts 480i SD so competantly that you must not allow your cable box to do this so only pass 720p, 1080i and 1080p to the set. Sony's digital video processing is that good. Use only the HDMI inputs since componet video from same cable box added artifacts not present otherwise.

Since it refreshes at 120 Hertz which is twice normal, and 120Hz is rare on most sets at any price point. Accordingly, you get natural high speed motion of all objects from birds to race cars.

You will not a more natural color reproduction in nature or the faces of people. Sony calls it xz color technology and claims 1.8 times the number of color of other HD sets. I say it gives the most amazing images of birds and animals. Combined with the 3-dimensional nature of HD images the cardinals look better on the set than in real life.

Many HD sets can make people look like cartoons which grow old after a while. I know since I have a wall mounted LCD which I can no longer bear to watch after getting this set. They are fashion statements since they are wall mounted. This set is only for the discerning viewer.
