Last of it's kind - Why SONY?
Probably the best RPTV you will find on the market... I have been through 3 RPTVs (Mitsubishi, Samsung, and now Sony). Each had its ups and downs, but the Sony brand is very surprising. Most DLP's have an image quality that is fairly good, but at times you will see that rainbow wheel - though the... Read full review »
Best value in 1080p HDTV
I have been looking at these SONY Liquid Crystal on Silicon sets back when they were 10 grand 7-8 years ago . Now the picture is the best ever and they can be had for less than 2 grand on sale. If you don't HAVE TO HAVE a wall mounted set ( with their clouding problems common on large LCD sets)... Read full review »
Best 60" HDTV out there !!!!
Summary - I simply love this TV. THE PRICE IS PERFECT AND THE PICTURE HEAVENLY. I tested Pirates of the Carribean DEAD MAN'S CHEST BluRay using the PS3 and the movie experience was truly immersive. The details and the smooth film like quality especially when the camera pans in action scenes is... Read full review »
Overall champion of the RP HDTV class
After much (and I mean muuuuuuch) research, test viewing, angst, and consideration, I retired my 51" Sony HDTV from 2002 and replaced it with the KDS-60A3000. I can't say enough good things about the set and anyone who has a burning desire to get into HDTV or upgrade an older set should consider... Read full review »
Most detailed of any set on market
No set has more pixels than this set. That means nobody has more resolution. Next try to buy a 60 inch set with 1080 p and you will likely spend 200%. At 90 pounds it is half the weight and half the thickness of previous projection sets so it does not dominate a room except for its massive picture... Read full review »
Simply Awesome
I was patiently waiting for the release of Sony's $5,000 KDS-Z60XBR5. However, Sony decided not to release the 60" XBR5 which brought me to the 60A3000. I paid half of what I would have paid for the 60XBR5 and used some of the left over money to buy top of the line Power Regulator/Surge Protector... Read full review »
Best 60 inch Set on the Market at a Reasonable Price
Recently decided to step up from my 50 inch SONY KDF-E5010A to a 60 inch set. I initially purchased the SONY A-2020 and immediately noticed the lack of clarity in the picture as compared to my supposedly lower end 50 inch set. I also noticed heavy pixilation watching some football games. Part of... Read full review »
