Pros Jaw dropping picture in HIDEF. Lots of settings & features. Perfect at 1.5 years!
Cons Early lamp failure, but looks like problem fixed. NO other cons!
Recommended it? Yes

Let me start by saying that this TV's picture is stunning, especially on 1080 HDTV feeds. In fact, the other night I was watching a hockey game on HDTV and it truly felt like I was sitting at center ice in person....but on a comfy couch instead of a hard stadium seat! DVD feeds are almost as... Read full review »

Pros Pic Quality Ease of Use Price Longevity
Cons Consumes a lot of your time. :) Initial availability at time of market release
Recommended it? Yes

Had to wait approximately six weeks to get this box, which was pure torture :) We ordered it on Nov 6, and finally took receipt of it sometime in late December (Right before X-MAS). We ordered from ABC Warehouse, and paid an astonishing $2650.00 which, in ways, justified the wait along with the... Read full review »

Pros Brilliant display, crisp detail, fairly lightweight, nice looking bezel, little/no...
Cons Darks could be better, possible dead pixel problem, bulb life, remote could be better.
Recommended it? Yes

I've been doing some research for the past few months and like many of you want to get the best for your money especially when it comes to a high ticket/price item such as a television. I could've plopped down $5000 plus for a decent plasma but decided that I would only get a plasma for the "cool... Read full review »

Pros good picture quality and reliability
Cons overscanned image, no VGA input
Recommended it? Yes

Evem after 4 years, I am happy with the picture quality. There are newer TVs that look worse than my current screen. I use this TV for HD console gaming and PC/Windows Media Center. I primarily use only the component video and DVI inputs. Occasionally, I use the front-panel S-Video - but only... Read full review »

Pros Picture while it lasted
Cons Lamp cost and need for extended warranty!!!!
Recommended it? No

Like most I had a lamp go out $200 gone. That wasn't as bad as I,m sitting down one night, turn the TV on and a red circuit board image appears on the screen. After trying to remove it several ways ,I call a Sony tech. The tech said he had never heard of such a thing happening to an LCD. If it was a... Read full review »

Pros digital dynamite
Cons black values are low def
Recommended it? Yes

I took delivery of this unit about 6 months ago and have been in love with it ever since. The picture is awesome, and if you get one, make sure you have a progressive scan dvd player to go with it. Obviously you're going to want a high def cable box, because that's the only way you're going to... Read full review »

Pros Color, crispness of good signals and ability to dink around with remote are great.
Cons Blacks could be better.

I purchased this TV back in 2003 when only real men bought wide screen. Ha. However, I have never been disappointed. I expected to replace the lamp within 3 years of purchase but it is still running strong. I did have something to do with the speakers replaced, out of warranty, but Sony picked up... Pros Picture quality, ease of operation.
Cons Design flaw in lamp. Sony's Direct Response Center Customer Service is the worst!
Recommended it? No

Just called the store where I bought the TV and told them that the second TV they delivered just quit working too. I Had my first TV for 31 days when it stopped turning on. It produced a sizzling sound near the lamp each time it tried to turn on. The power lamp would blink for 30 seconds and then... Read full review »
