Two bad TVs in two months!

Design flaw in lamp. Sony's Direct Response Center Customer Service is the worst!

The Bottom Line:
Wait until the new sets come out to purchase.
Just called the store where I bought the TV and told them that the second TV they delivered just quit working too. I Had my first TV for 31 days when it stopped turning on. It produced a sizzling sound near the lamp each time it tried to turn on. The power lamp would blink for 30 seconds and then the "lamp" light would blink. The store where I bought the TV told me it would be quicker to get it repaired rather than wait to get it replaced.
I had the TV repaired by the local Sony authorized repairman and within 24 hours the problem started again, although intermittently. The store where I purchased the TV felt sorry for me and replaced that TV with another on Sat Dec 27th. The second one just went out this morning. Called the store and they said they will put another one on order for me. Hopefully, it will be one of the models manufactured after they fix this design flaw.
I've had Sony TVs my whole life and I consider them to be far superior to any TV on the market. When its working, the picture on the TV is fantastic!
