Cons At $3,000 plus a pop, a defect well defect should be corrected...DO NOT BUY

I followed the progression of advice on the net from the time the TV was introduced till the time I purchased my set...it seemed the manufacturing defect was corrected, or at least that it was increasingly unlikely. I thought I would miss the virus. Sadly I did not...

Pros Great picture, logical controls easy even for a non-geek to operate.
Cons While lighter than even a smaller conventional CRT TV, the Sony is fairly heavy.
Recommended it? Yes

I went to a local electronics store not knowing anything at all about HDTVs. Pros OK TV until it won't turn on and then the blue dots begin.
Cons You would think a SONY 60" would last more than 3 years, but NO.
Recommended it? No

Purchased the Sony LCD Projection TV from Comp USA in April 2004. Within 9 months we had our FIRST service call and had to replace the lamp because it wouldn't turn on. Same problem with our SECOND service call a year later. NOW you can hardly

I purchased a SONY KF60WE610 from circuit city in June 2004.I now see blue light leaking out of left front corner and along bottom of screen, Sony will not extend warranty on this part. Great picture. No place for center channel, will have to mount a shelf behind the TV. That sucks. If you buy Sony's shelf, no place for center speaker at bottom because that's where the receiver has to go. No place for much of anything on the shelves except receiver, one other big item...
