KP-43T70 Small Projection TV

Pros Mid sized, Great Picture
Cons A little Heavy
Recommended it? Yes
I recently purchased the Sony KP-43T70 43" Color Rear Video Projector TV.
Some of the features;
Flash Focus
Picture in Picture
Parental Control
Universal Remote (Glowing)
Ease of Setup

I was at first surprised on how light this was compared to others I have seen. Two of us could move it quite easily. We had to lift it to put it on the stand and we have since moved it a couple of times for proper positioning. You do need at least 8 feet between the TV and your chair to make things really clear. The viewing angle is 60 degrees side to side and 20 degrees up and down.

The unit comes with all the modern connections. Coaxial cable, S Video cable, Audio/Video cable, and Control S cable. The instruction book is really detailed and unlike other instruction manuals this one is actually relatively easy to read and understand. I've bought electronics before and the manuals were written in "Greek".

The TV picture was not grainy at all and as a matter of fact looked just as sharp as the 27" RCA I replaced. Many of the other big screen TVs always looked grainy and not very sharp. There is a minimum of setup but the instruction booklet walks you through each step. When I first turned on the TV the picture wasn't sharp at all. I thought "What have I purchased, this doesn't look anything like the one I saw on the showroom floor at the electronics store". After reading a little I found out that I had to use Flash Focus to align the colors. One touch of a button aligned the colors and WOW! everything was great!!!!

Overall I have been very pleased with this model. The 43" isn't too big for a moderate family room and the price $1599.00 not unjustified.
