I'm so happy that most everyone is enjoying this television. Over the years at Sears, I have sold many of the 43" Sony mini-big screens. Let me give those of you who are still undecided a push to the right television.

The Sony KP43-T70 is a fenominal television for the money. Although this television is an analog tv, you will be astounded by its picture quality. The main reason for the upgraded quality is a first-surface-mirror that this big screen uses for brightness. Any of you who have read my other television epinions know that I brag endlessly about this feature on the Sony. The best part is, only Sony uses first-surface-mirrors. Other televisions use a totally different type of filter for brightness, instead of the 3-line digital filter that Sony uses.

This television comes dolby surround sound compatible, it has two-tuner picture in picture, screen freeze, and I believe that it also has rear-speaker inputs - but don't quote me on that one. The television should be view at an approximate distance of 10 feet or more. If you sit too close to any big screen television, you will notice dimming of the picture - Unless you're dealing with HDTV. This television's wide-viewing range (that is looking at it from an angle) stretches to about 120 degrees.

One negative about the television is that it does not come with a stand, you must purchase it separately, which will run you about $180 bucks! However, the television does have front and rear A/V inputs (audio-visual jacks) for use with a camcorder, DVD player, or VCR. (VCR's don't have to use COAX cable anymore)

One of my favorite options on the Sony televisions are the brightness settings. They use settings called:
Movie (slightly darker for lights out viewing)
Normal (standard brightness for cable viewing)
Vivid (Extremely bright for poor receptions)
Game (For use with video game systems)

It is this Representative's advice that Sony makes one of the most reliable and durable products on the market. I also like Hitachi in the big screen market, but Sony has always made quality merchandise at the right price. Anyone looking for a Sony, but possibly in a smaller television should look to Sony's WEGA series televisions.

A quick note on the WEGA televisions! This is wonderful, so listen up! The Sony VEGA television is the correct name. Yes, VEGA, not WEGA. If you look at Sony's design, they make two V's to make the "W." Many many salespeople and customers think that this television is supposed to be called the WEGA, make sure you use its proper name and you will be smarter than the salespeople themselves!

Good luck in your purchases everyone, and for those of you who bought the KP-43T70, great buy!
