Died after 15 months.
Pros
Good price, decent picture (but not as good as similar Toshiba sets).
Cons
Quality concerns, terrible support, better prices on better sets since initial purchase.

I purchased this TV in November 2003 from Best Buy, with my purchase based primarily on the Sony name and the relatively good price. I read reviews that expressed concern about the durability and/or quality of the set but dismissed them as oversensitive complainers, placing my trust in the Sony name. The picture was not as good as similar Toshiba models but was good nevertheless. Initial setup wasn't difficult and I was able to correct the picture quality overtime by fiddling with the color/brightness controls. I really appreciated the number of inputs, including DVI, component and S-Video on the front panel.
Well, after fifteen month of limited use, it died. By limited use, I mean probably less than 20 - 25 hours of viewing per week. All I got was the blinking LED error code. I contacted Sony Support and was basically told I was S.O.L. Estimated repair cost – possibly up to $400, for a $1300 initial purchase price. Advice – get the warranty if you buy this set.
