Like everyone else out there, I searched and read everything I could before making my purchase. I really wanted to go the DLP route, but cost was a factor in the end, plus the fact that rear projection has been around for quite some time and the "bugs" are pretty well worked out. I picked up this model on sale at Best Buy for $1350. Never saw it lower. Well after 3 months, here's the verdict. WOW, what a TV!! I only have standard cable, but the picture is great except for a very few stations. They were not so great on my regular TV either. Where this TV really stands out is in watching a movie on DVD. I can't get over the clarity and color produced. The split screen is a real kick too. You can literally watch two shows at once. I also liked the fact that this TV was short enough to allow a cabinet to be built underneath.

More than 3 years and plenty of hours of use,this TV still looks and works as good as the day I first turned it on.
It was well worth the price.
