This TV is SICK!!!

Picture is fine if not in wide mode.
I really like a crisp picture, so when we went to Best Buy, that's what I looked for. Regular TVs seem to have a much crisper picture than projection TVs. The TV I was looking at was $1000, so I figured if I was going to spend that much money, I might as well spend a little more, and get a big one... Read full review »

Sharp picture, Poor Sound, GET A WARRANTY - known problems
I love this TV - I didn't realize what a worthwhile purchase this would be. I haven't been to the cinema since I bought it :)

Great home theater TV
Why this particular TV?
We wanted one that would fit into an irregular alcove that is wide at the bottom an narrow at the top. This unit has a small width at its top and slopes back so it fit nicely in our home.

Reoccurring Problem with KP51ws500
Purchased widescreen in October 2002. 4 months later, widescreen developed the dreaded flickering problem with a "yellowish" splash that would randomly show . The picture quality with my DirecTV system is great,but the quality of the picture when I connected to my progessive scan DVD player was beyond words.
