The Bottom Line:
I would recommend buying this TV because it is great for its price.
I must say that this TV is great. I had been researching for months on all other HDTV's out there for around the $2,200 price range, and the Sony just seemed to beat all of the other completion out there.

I have had my Sony for about 2 months now and it's great. I bought mine from BestBuy.com and had an awful experience with them. The first one they delivered was shattered. So, I was pretty bummed about that. So don't buy from BestBuy.com.
I also have a Samsung DVD Player with monster component cables that does progressive scan. When playing a DVD like StarWars on the Sony, it looks great! I think my eyes are going to go bad very soon because the quality of the picture is so clean.
The sound on the TV is not bad if you don't have surround sound yet like me. Well, if you are in the market for buying a widescreen TV, I would say goes with any that Sony has put out, especially the KP 51WS500 Widescreen. It's a wonderful TV.
