Sony KP-53HS10 53 in. TV

I purschased this TV about a year ago and have enjoyed the oicture quality. Horizontal lines tend to flicker as a result of sony's line doubler. But then it happend.... the left side of the TV's screen became blurred --- what the heck??? After spending near $3,000 and after only one year --- lucky for me I purchased Circuit City's extended warrenty which covered my set.. The Convergence sensor went bad on one of the computer boards. I always though sony TV's were great values and were durable and would last 20 years. I have always grown up with Sony .. In fact I have a sony DVD ( it too had problems with a lip sync issue and had to be repaired twice), dts reciever. I'm starting to question Sony's quality -- I hope they havent overlooked this important issue! It is questionable if I would buy Sony again. I'm still waiting (after 3 weeks) to get my set back ... will let you know how it turns out.
