Sony V-Series (Expert Opinion by Sears Employee)

Pros Solid Clearity, Exceptional Sound
Cons Costs a little more than the S-Series
Recommended it? Yes
The Sony V-series big screens surpass the S-series model for a number of reasons. Personally, I hate the S-Series. The TV is darkens as you move from side to side, has poor surround sound capablities, and does not show the true potential of sony.

The V-series on the other hand is an exceptional television. The V-series's main feature is its "first surface mirror." This mirror is somewhat concave and is mounted directly in from of the projection in the rear. The mirror brightens and magnifies the projection to give us a clearer & brighter picture. The V-series also has an advanced twin tuner picture in picture for the ability of watching two channels at once, not just two different devices (i.e. DVD, VCR, CAMCORDER). Also, the V-Series big screens can mount two rear speakers directly from the TV, no need for an extra amplifier (unless you have really huge speakers) because the amplifier is built into the television!

The Sony V-Series also has a 3-line digital comb filter, as does the S-Series, but the V-Series television is digital! NOT ANALOG!

And you were wondering why the "V" over the "S." The V-Series is more expensive, but it's worth it!
