Pros Great picture and sound, multiple inputs, easy to clean / maintain.
Cons Its large, by today's flat panel standards but so are the new rear projections.
Recommended it? Yes

I bought this TV brand new almost 5 years ago, I have never had a problem, and I have moved twice. Very dependable. I did my research before I purchased this television and it came highly rated. Great for watching movies and makes it hard to walk away from when it on, it grabs your attention. I had... Read full review »

Pros nice when brand new
Cons faulty part, too bulky for today's standard
Recommended it? No

We just had the same problem with the screen going blue and cutting off. Evidently, the blue CRT part went bad....and the set is not even 5 years old! We spent almost $3k on this set, including a 3yr warranty that is now conveniently expired. Now we are looking at having to spend $500 to repair. We... Read full review »

In November, 2002 I was in the market for a Wide Screen Projection TV. After a fairly exhaustive search (including much web analysis), I settled on the KP-57WS500. I have never regretted that decision.

First, the bad:
I have only 2 gripes about this TV.

(1) The input... Read full review »

Nice tv over the 8 years we have had it.    Like all reverse projectors it needs a darkened room to be appreciated but can be watched in full dayling easily.   Easy to move around on its many rollers and the back comes off with just a few screws to clean the lenses and blow out dust from the...
